SITE: North Canton Memorial Stadium, 7:30 p.m.
RECORDS: GlenOak 2-2, 0-0; Hoover 4-0, 1-0.
LAST WEEK: GlenOak 28, Boardman 0; Hoover 13, Perry 7.
LAST MEETING: Hoover won 17-14 last year.
WHAT TO WATCH: The Vikings stayed unbeaten last week, overcoming some failures when scoring chances arose. RB Alex Ramsey had a late TD that gave Hoover the win. Of course, the Vikings are playing as good a defense as anyone in the county. GlenOak may be the most balanced team Hoover has faced thus far, but the Vikings defense has been up to the task. With Ramsey running the ball, QB Sam Cerreta has developed into a passing threat. He has two solid receivers in Kyle Watts and Brian Druckenbrod.
The Golden Eagles are coming off their best defensive performance in shutting out Boardman. The defense has athletes, and if they get the ball in their hands, they can take it to the house. Last week, Mike Henkel returned an interception 101 yards for a TD. Harold Fannin returned another pick 89 yards for a score. GlenOak will have to find its way on offense as this is best defense it will have faced. If the offensive line can provide QB Brian Hartline with time, and he makes solid decisions, this could be a close game without much scoring.
