Louisville's Seaman is MVP of WHBC team
Friday, November 21, 2008
CANTON Louisville High School senior quarterback Neal Seaman earned MVP honors Thursday at the 1480 WHBC 64th annual All-Stark County football banquet.
Seaman led Louisville to an unbeaten regular season and a spot in the Division II regional finals. Last season, his play helped the Leopards reach the state finals. He became the fifth quarterback in county history to throw for more than 5,000 yards in his career.
The other two individual awards handed out went to Louisville coach Paul Farrah (Coach of the Year) and Canton South quarterback Matt Trissel (Jim Muzzy Award).
Former Central Catholic standout Roger Duffy, who later starred at Penn State and in the NFL, was the evening's guest speaker.
The Repository's All-Stark County football team and player of the year will be released in our Thanksgiving edition.
