Hoover 14, GlenOak 0
at Paul Brown Stadium, Massillon

MASSILLON The Vikings' defense held GlenOak to 179 yards
of total offense (17 passing) and got a touchdown from
Greg Beck and Erick Howard, as that proved to be enough as
Hoover took down Federal League rival GlenOak in Saturday's
Division I, Region 2 final from Paul Brown Stadium.

With the game scoreless at halftime, Hoover got on the board
in the third quarter after quarterback Brett Tulodzieski found
Beck for a 26-yard TD pass.

Tulodzieski had an efficient day passing, going 10-of-12 for
115 yards.

With the game still close, Hoover put a drive together that make
teams champions.

The Vikings conducted a 11-play, 61 yard drive that was
capped off by a 1-yard TD run by Erick Howard. That drive
took seven minutes off the clock and left just 31 seconds for
GlenOak to work with.

Howard led the Hoover rushing attack with 140 yards on 33 carries.

Golden Eagle running back DeWuan Spencer carried the ball 12 times for 73 yards, while Brandon Martin rushed for 50 yards on 14 rushes.

Hoover will take on St. Ignatius in a state semifinal game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Paul Brown Stadium.
