of the most athletic players in the D.C. area.

Last year was Ford's first playing high school football, and he responded by

Williams is a playmaker. Early this summer there were rumbling about
Williams possibly transferring to H.D. Woodson D.C. There were also
rumblings about his eligibility. If he takes the field, however, he will do great
things and the offers he receives will reflect that.

Calvin Coolidge will bring a wealth of experience and talent this Friday when
they visit North Canton Memorial Stadium for what promises to be a very
competitive kickoff to the 2009 season. As you can see from the player bios
above, the Colts are extremely talented in the skilled positions.
Unknown to hoovervikingsfootball.com is the quarterback who will lead the
Calvin Coolidge spread offense attack. Gone is Emmanual Yeager, Coolidge's
QB from last year's 9-3 squad. He signed a LOI to play for New Mexico.
The 2009 Hoover Vikings are far removed from the state semifinal game last year. This year's Vikings squad knows it must create it's own success and focus on one game at a time. FOCUSING on COOLIDGE is all that matters to the Vikings this week.
The Vikings would like to establish more of a balanced offense but that means the offensive line will have to give senior QB Brett Tulodzieski time to throw. His main targets will be Dan Nettleton, Justin Simm, Joe Housos, A.J. Sarbaugh and Dan Leek. Of course, the bread and butter will be RB Erick Howard. Hoover would be wise to let Howard work up a sweat, sustain a comfortable lead and rest key players for bigger games down the road.
One thing can be certain. Speed will be in abundance when the Vikings play host to District of Columbia, Calvin Coolidge Colts this Friday night at North Canton Memorial Stadium. Kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
