Perry vs Brunswick Game Notes:
  • Brunswick's Lorenzo Pace’s rushed for 177 yards and two touchdowns, outdueling Perry's #44 Caleb Laps, Sr. RB, (6-0, 190), who finished with 114 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.
  • Perry's Caleb Laps returned a kickoff 60 yards then capped the Panthers’ drive with a five-yard touchdown run.
  • In the second half,  Perry's Jonathon Miller found the end zone on a one-yard run, cutting the Perry deficit to 24-14.
  • Perry’s McKinley Lancaster crossed the goal line on a seven-yard run with two and a half minutes left in the game to cut into Brunswick’s lead. The Panthers then recovered the onside kick, but Kaderbek sealed the game by picking off an overthrown pass Perry pass.
  • Brunswick rushed for 448 yards on 43 attempts.

WHAT TO WATCH:  Erick Howard’s season took off in this matchup a year ago, as he ran through the rain and mud at Perry Stadium for 226 yards. He also caught two passes for 97 yards and scored all three Hoover touchdowns. Howard is coming off a season-high 278 yards on 48 carries last week. His performance helped jump-start Hoover’s offense, which scored 34 unanswered points in a big road win. QB Brett Tulodzieski also came through with a solid game. He’s thrown for 364 yards this season with four TDs and two interceptions. Perry looks to get its offense going after totaling just 157 yards at Brunswick. Senior RB Caleb Laps accounted for most of that, rushing for 114 yards and a score on 23 carries. RB Jonathan Miller has scored a team-best three TDs.
