CANTON — Stark County, which takes great pride in high school football, honored several gridders honored at the 66th WHBC Awards Banquet at Skyland Pines Golf Club and Events Center Thursday night.

Pro Football Hall of Fame guard Joe DeLamielleure was the guest speaker and delivered a simple message to the players.

“You should thank your high school coaches,” he stressed. You’re living a dream. It’s hard to make an All-County team.”
