2010 East prevails as storm halts all-star game

CANTON — The teams went into halftime of The Repository East-West All-Star Football Game looking for an edge.
They never got the chance, as lightning and the threat of a severe thunderstorm forced the game to be called before the third quarter began.
The East won, 14-7, as the estimated crowd of 5,000 dwindled to about 500 when everyone was sent home Saturday night from Fawcett Stadium.
East head coach Don Hertler Jr. hopes his players look back one day and remember the week of practice together and not the way the all-star experience ended early. Read More...
