AUSTINTOWN Hoover's Justin Smith ran for 64 yards and two touchdowns, but the Vikings were unable to
contain Fitch's high-powered offense in falling to the Falcons.
Smith accounted for both of the Vikings' touchdowns, while Austin Appleby passed for 126 yards for Hoover.
Demitrious Davis led Fitch by passing for 111 yards and a touchdown and rushing for 64 yards and three touchdowns.
The Vikings were outgained on the ground 300-91. (1)
Another game, another opportunity for the young Vikings to learn and grow as individuals and as
a team. Down 42-6 at halftime, the Vikings could have packed it in and gone through the motions
the second half, but to the credit of the Vikings and the coaching staff, that didn't happen!
Instead, the Vikings came out in the 3rd quater and played with heart and determination.
They played for pride!
They played for Tradition!
They played for each other!
