NORTH CANTON—Senior running back Ryan Choong scored two fourth quarter touchdowns as Hoover rallied to defeat Wilson, 35-25. Choong led Hoover's rush attack with 23 carries for 143 yards, including two touchdowns and a two-point conversion.

Junior quarterback Austin Appleby threw for 178 yards and a touchdown. He also added a rushing touchdown. Junior Jon Nutt led Hoover with two catches for 81 yards and a touchdown.

Hoover's tough pass defense held Wilson to just 68 passing yards and intercepted three passes.

Note: The young Vikings played with heart and determination as they overcame several turnovers to secure their first victory against a very formidable foe in Wilson. The 2010 Vikings have areas in which they need to improve, and they will. The coaching staff say, "They are a very coachable team with desire". That's a good combination to have. The Vikings also displayed many positive aspects of their gameplay. Definitely something to build on as they turn their attention to next week's opponent in Louisville.
