BOARDMAN Allen Starkey's 4-yard touchdown run with four minutes remaining in regulation sealed a home win for Boardman.

Starkey also scored Boardman's first touchdown on a 45-yard pass from Ryan Pollifrone with just 18 seconds remaining in the first quarter.

Starkey carried the ball four times for 42 yards.

Austin Appleby threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Austin Feinberg in the second quarter for Hoover.

Appleby was 11-of-35 passing for 115 yards with an interception.

Stephen Denissoff was Hoover's leading receiver with 48 yards on five catches.
