Six players who earned a spot on an All-Ohio team last fall highlight the 79 players
selected to play in the 22nd annual Repository East-West All-Star Football Game on
July 23 at Fawcett Stadium.

The East will feature four of them — wide receiver Jeremy White of Louisville, defensive
lineman Dan Kampman of St. Thomas Aquinas, running back Drew Prendergast of
Minerva and linebacker Freddie Burton of McKinley.

The West counters with a pair of all-state Lake Blue Streaks in defensive back Dan Reed
and offensive lineman Sean Hemlick.

Each Stark County high school is represented by at least two players in the game.
Thirty-one players who made last fall’s Repository All-Stark County team are expected
take the field,  including the All-Ohioans who should play prominent roles.

White was a second-team All-Ohio pick in Division II after he averaged 18.8 yards a
reception for Louisville, catching nine touchdown passes.

Kampman made the second team in Division V after coming up with five sacks and
10 tackles for loss for the Knights.

Prendergast rolled up 4,220 all-purpose yards throughout his career, earning third
team all-state honors in Division III after rushing for 1,453 yards last fall to help Minerva return to the playoffs.

The 192-pound Burton might be the hardest hitter, pound for pound, in the county. He led McKinley with 146 hits, helping them reach the state playoffs a third straight year to earn a third-team spot on the Division I All-Ohio team. Read More (Rosters)...

Reed made an impact all over the field to make the All-Ohio second team in Division II. He came up with seven turnovers and 65 tackles, while gaining 1,319 all-purpose yards as a receiver and returner.

Hemlick helped Lake pound out 200 yards a game on the ground and average 30.6 points, earning third-team honors on the all-state team.
