SCOUTING REPORT:
The Fitch Falcons are defending Federal League champions and are playing a league schedule this season. However, since they left the league to become an independent, the Falcons are not eligible for the league title. Nonetheless, Fitch is an explosive offensive team with playmakers at several positions. The big question is whether two of those players — QB Demitrious Davis and RB Will Mahone (Notre Dame commit) — suit up this week. Davis has missed the last three games, while Mahone has missed the last two games. Still, RB Tyreese Anderson stepped in for Mahone. Davis’ twin, Chris, is a playmaking WR for the Falcons. Both have committed to Pitt. (1)
Fitch does not go deep very often. They rely primarily on a strong ground game. Last week against Jackson, Fitch racked up 383 rushing yards on 56 attempts. Junior RB, Billy Aaron led Fitch with 214 yards rushing and three TDs. Junior QB, Matt Futkos contributed with two rushing TD's.
Fitch has lost their last three games. However, don't underestimate the quality of this team. They have an explosive offense and are capable of eating up the clock very effectively. (2)
