LAST MEETING: GlenOak won 32-27, last year
SCOUTING REPORT:
GlenOak’s unbeaten season came to an end with a 17-14 loss to Boardman last week and now the Golden Eagles are behind in the Federal League championship race. Boardman, unbeaten in the league, plays at McKinley this weekend.
A big thing to keep an eye on is the continued growth of the GlenOak passing game. Reid Worstell broke out in a big way against Lake — 13-of-16 for 192 yards with three touchdowns and followed that with a 14-of-29 for 224 yard performance against Boardman last week. Worstell has developed good chemistry with WR Lunden Butler, who had six catches for 69 yards with two scores two weeks ago against McKinley. An improving passing game takes some pressure off GlenOak RB Bri’onte Dunn. He was held to 89 yards on 25 carries two weeks ago and 82 yards on 22 carries last week against Boardman, but drew a lot of attention any time he was on the field. If GlenOak continues to throw the ball well it could open up more running lanes for Dunn.
Bri'onte Dunn has rushed for 1105 yards on 195 carries and 13 touchdowns this season.
